Description

Precision machining company, RSI of West Michigan, LLC dba RSI whose core business centers around CNC machining and assembly of complex, medium to high volume metal components for a wide variety of industries. RSI a division of Waséyabek Development Company, LLC that is wholly owned by the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi, a Federally recognized Indian Tribe.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk will manage shipping and receiving activities for incoming and outgoing shipments, maintain all inventory counts for raw materials, components, and finished goods.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Prepare bills of lading and other documentation required for shipmentsPrepare and maintain records of materials received and shipped including dates of transactions, locations, and other pertinent informationReview shipments and accompanying documents for quality and accuracyConfirm shipping details or special instructions; expedite shipments that affect the manufacturing process scheduleCoordinate shipment and transport of goods with outside carriersAccurately maintain shipping records, using the company's proprietary QIS software systemMaintain up-to-date inventory counts on raw materials, components, and finished goodsProvide necessary documents and reports to accounting or other associated departmentsLoad and unload materials, supplies, and finished goods (manually and/or using hand trucks and other equipment such as forklifts) both for production needs and shipping purposes Operate all company equipment in a safe, efficient manner and in accordance with company policies and proceduresReceive goods and verify the quality and count of all items unloaded from trucks and trailers; checks against suppliers count and immediately reports discrepancies to carriers, supervisors, and other management staff in accordance with company policy and procedure.Complete information on damage claims for in-transit damagePromptly notify supervisor of major discrepancies, over-shipments, or substitutions.Maintain warehouse organization in accordance with company procedures and safety standardsOther duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diplomaTwo years of shipping and receiving experience, including over a year in the automotive industryAbility to accurately sort, count, and verify items receivedBasic understanding of dock and warehouse proceduresProficient with Microsoft Office Suite and/or inventory software to maintain records, input data, and create reportsForklift experience neededMust possess a valid driver's licenseMust be able to obtain a chauffer's licenseGood organizational skillsMeticulous attention to detailExcellent time management skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsMust be able to follow all company policies and procedures, including ISO 9001 operating requirementsAbility to pass a pre-employment drug screenAbility to pass a background investigation, including but not limited to nationwide criminal record search, and other relevant background information deemed necessary by RSI
