Performs complex (journey-level) financial analysis and regulatory work. Under the supervision of the Revenue Resources Manager, performs business, budget, and financial support of revenue generating programs related to public use of State Parks. Work involves evaluating financial data, preparing reports, responding to inquiries, and recommending appropriate action to resolve financial and regulatory issues. Additional work to includes business plan writing, revenue analysis, feasibility, park business statistics compilation, cost analysis, forecasting revenues, and evaluating business and use data. May train others. Works under general supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Performs additional duties as assigned. Complies with all Agency, Division and Branch rules, regulations and procedures.
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree.
Three years experience in financial analysis, such as research, compilation, reporting, or regulatory work.
Must possess or be able to obtain, within 30 days of employment, a valid class "C" Texas driver's license.
NOTE: Retention of position contingent upon obtaining and maintaining a required license.
One additional year of the required experience may substitute for 30 hours of the required education, with a maximum substitution of 120 semester hours.
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree with major coursework in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or closely related field.
Experience in budget, management analyses and examination procedures, monitoring costs, product management, state budgeting processes, and retail.
Currently a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Knowledge of recordkeeping, including security procedures for handling, protecting, and distributing confidential data;
Knowledge of financial analyses and examination procedures for regulated entities;
Knowledge of financial and industry terminology and practices;
Skill in the use of a computer and applicable software;
Skill in conducting data searches;
Skill in evaluating and translating large amounts of data;

Skill in data modeling;
Ability to compile, review, and analyze data;
Ability perform and interpret numerical analyses;
Ability to prepare reports and correspondence regarding findings;
Ability to analyze and summarize financial and management records,
Ability use trends and customer demand;
Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail;
Ability to communicate effectively;
Ability to provide guidance to others;
Ability to conduct work activities in accordance with TPWD safety program.
Required to work 40 hours per week;
Required to work overtime, as necessary;
Must conform to TPWD dress and grooming standards, work rules, and safety procedures;
Required to travel up to 10% with possible overnight stays;
Required to operate a State vehicle;
Non-smoking environment in State buildings and vehicles.
